Prepared for
Tough Enough Construction
25 years in business. A website that hides every one of them.
Open toughenoughconstruct.com on your phone right now. Click Projects in the footer. That placeholder text - "Click here to add your own content" - every visitor to your site sees that.
Tough Enough has 25 years of work, an MBE certification, and three service lines - roofing, masonry, steel buildings - that Gorilla and Gallagher cannot match. None of that shows up online. The current site has no phone in the header, an empty reviews section, a Projects page showing Wix placeholder text, and copy on the Roofing page that literally says "Best Roofing is your ideal choice." Every one of these is live right now.
This proposal is a ground-up rebuild: a new website that leads with your 25 years, puts the phone number where buyers can tap it, shows real reviews and real projects, and - the biggest piece - builds a separate page for every city you serve. Gorilla has 18 of those. Gallagher has 25. We build you 5,000. By the time they notice, you already own the search results.
9 things live on toughenoughconstruct.com today
Every one of these is fixable. Every one is costing you calls right now.
Wrong Company Name in Your Own Copy
Read the Roofing page. It says "Best Roofing is your ideal choice" and "Best Roofing is available to support all your emergency roofing requirements." That is a competitor name - live, on your site, being read by every visitor right now.
Projects Page Shows Wix Placeholder Text
Click Projects in the footer. The page says "Click here to add your own content, or connect to data from your collections." After 25 years of finished roofs, masonry, and steel buildings, the Projects page is empty.
No Phone Number in the Header
A homeowner with a leaking roof searches on their phone at 9pm. They find your site. To call you, they have to dig through the Contact page. Most do not. They call the next result. Gorilla and Gallagher both have a sticky phone number in the top bar. You do not.
Reviews Section Is Empty
Your homepage has a heading that says "What Our Customers Say." Below it: nothing. Every visitor who scrolls past that concludes you either have no reviews or nothing worth showing. Neither is true - but that is what the site says.
Zero Pages for Any City You Serve
Someone in Chesterfield searches "commercial roofing Chesterfield MO." Google looks for a page on your site that mentions Chesterfield. There is not one. So Google shows Gorilla instead. Same for Kirkwood, Belleville, Clayton, Fairview Heights, O'Fallon - every city in your service area.
No Page for Insurance Claim Work
Storm damage and commercial roof work almost always runs through insurance. Gallagher has an entire page walking the customer through what to expect. Yours does not. Every homeowner dealing with a claim goes to Gallagher by default.
No Financing, No Warranty, No FAQ
Gorilla shows financing options and workmanship warranties. Both companies have FAQ pages. These are the pages that close deals with hesitant buyers. You have none of them.
No Blog or Content Google Can Index
Google ranks sites that publish useful content. Gorilla and Gallagher both have blogs. Yours has the homepage and five service pages. There is almost nothing for Google to rank you for outside of searches for your exact company name.
No Mobile Call Button
Seven out of ten roofing searches happen on a phone. Without a tap-to-call button at the bottom of every page, every mobile visitor has to hunt for your number. Most will not. They call whoever has the button.
What those 9 issues are costing you every month
Estimated 8-12 lost inbound leads per month - commercial roofing and masonry work in the St. Louis metro averages $1,200-1,800 per lead. Every week the current site stays live is money walking to Gorilla and Gallagher.
This is not projected income. This is current loss - calls that are happening, just not to you.
Gorilla and Gallagher - Scored
They are not better roofers or masons. They are better at showing up online. That is fixable.
18 St. Louis neighborhood pages. Quote tool, financing, reviews, warranty, FAQ, blog. The dominant digital presence in St. Louis roofing right now.
25 area pages. Insurance claim workflow front and center. Real project portfolio. Owns the insurance-claim buyer segment.
Feature check, side by side
Green check = they have it. Red X = they do not. Right column = what you get after launch.

- Sticky phone number in every header + tap-to-call on mobile
- 5,000+ pages, one for each service in each city you serve
- A dedicated insurance-claim page that walks the customer through every step
How we get you there - five pillars
Each one is a piece of the rebuild. Each one wins you jobs Gorilla and Gallagher cannot.
A New Website That Actually Sells Your Work
Every current page either hides information (no phone, empty reviews) or actively hurts you (competitor name in your own copy, Wix placeholder text). We rebuild the whole site from scratch, designed around one goal: a visitor lands, sees you are the right choice in under 10 seconds, and taps Call or Request Estimate.
- Homepage that leads with your 25 years, MBE certification, and real reviews
- Service pages: Roofing (with separate pages for TPO, EPDM, Metal, Shingle, Flat, Modified Bitumen), Masonry (Tuckpointing, Brick Repair, Stone Work, Repointing), Steel Buildings, Emergency Repair
- Real Projects page with before/after photos - replaces the current placeholder
- Sticky phone number in every page header + mobile tap-to-call bar
- Short estimate form (name, phone, service) on every page
Every visitor, on any page, is one tap from calling you. That alone beats the current site five ways to Sunday.
A Page for Every City, Every Service - 5,000 of Them
Right now you have one page that says "we serve the St. Louis area." Google has no idea which cities to show you for. We build a separate page for Chesterfield, Clayton, Kirkwood, Belleville, Fairview Heights, O'Fallon, and 55+ more - one for each service in each city. When someone searches "commercial roofing Chesterfield MO," your Chesterfield roofing page shows up. Same for every other city in your service area.
- 60+ cities across greater St. Louis and Metro East Illinois
- ~15 services (roofing types, masonry types, steel buildings, insurance claims, emergency repair)
- ~10 search variations per combination (repair, replacement, cost, near me, emergency, commercial, residential)
- 5,000-10,000 pages total - each one unique, each one pointing at your estimate form
- Google map embed on every city page so they see you are local
Gorilla has 18 of these pages. Gallagher has 25. You get 5,000. By the time they notice, you already own the search results - and catching up would cost them $40K+ and 18 months.
A sample. The real build spans 15+ services across 60+ cities with 10 search variations each.
The Trust Pages That Close Deals
Gallagher wins insurance-claim clients because they have a page that walks the homeowner through what to expect. Gorilla wins hesitant residential clients because they show financing. You have neither page. We build all the pages competitors use to close deals - and lead with two things neither of them can match: your MBE certification and 25 years of completed work.
- Insurance claim walkthrough - step by step, what you handle, what the homeowner handles
- Financing page - payment options and how to apply
- Warranty page - workmanship guarantee and manufacturer warranties in plain English
- FAQ page - 20+ real questions about roofing, masonry, insurance, pricing, service areas
- Careers page with an application form
- MBE certification front and center (buried in body text today)
The MBE cert unlocks commercial and government contracts Gorilla and Gallagher literally cannot bid on. Right now you are the best-kept secret in that market. We stop hiding it.
Everything Google Needs to Find You
This pillar is the plumbing. It is the part of the website nobody sees but Google checks every single time. Right now your site is missing every signal Google uses to rank local contractors. We install them all.
- The code that puts your business in Google's map with 3-star ratings at the top of search results
- The headline and preview text Google shows when someone finds you in search
- Google's page-speed score tuned to green (fast on phones, fast on desktops)
- The map we give Google so it finds every one of your 5,000+ pages
- Your name, address, and phone matched across Google Business, Bing, Apple Maps, and the rest
- Keyword research for every service + every city - so the copy actually says what buyers search for
SEO is not magic. It is a checklist. Your current site fails the checklist. We complete it.
Reviews, Speed, and Mobile - the Three Conversion Killers Fixed
The empty reviews section is a trust killer. The mobile experience has no call button. The site is slow. These are the three things that lose roofing jobs faster than anything else - and they are all fixable on day one of the new site.
- Your Google Reviews embedded on the homepage and every service page
- 5-8 real customer reviews pulled and displayed with names, stars, and job context
- Tap-to-call button on every mobile page
- Fast-loading pages on phones (Google's speed score green across the board)
- Tested on iPhone, Android, tablet - plus every major browser
Most buyers decide between two contractors based on star rating and whether the call button works. We win both.
